REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSALS

Sealed Statement of Qualifications/Proposals addressed to Mr. Mike R. Perez, City Manager, City of McAllen, will be received on October 1, 2008 until 3:00 p.m. at which time they will be taken to Conference Room #1, on the second floor of City Hall, publicly opened, and the names of companies responding shall be announced. (BID TABULATIONS showing actual proposal fees shall be provided at a later date, to respondents requesting same in written form.) SOQ € s/Proposals must be in the City of McAllen € s possession on or before the aforementioned date and time (no late SOQ € s/Proposals will be accepted).

EMPLOYEE BENEFIT CONSULTANT

All questions in respect to this request for SOQ € s/Proposal must be submitted in writing. Furthermore, respondents are encouraged to submit their questions prior to the pre-proposal conference. The DEADLINE for all question(s) shall be September 18, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. and shall be e-mailed to the Director of Purchasing & Contracting at szamora@mcallen.net (Respondents wishing to fax their questions may utilize fax number (956) 681-1138.

Respondents receiving a € NOTICE TO BIDDERS € and/or € REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSAL € notice in the mail or reading same in the newspaper may obtain Solicitation documentsand Instructions to Bidders/Respondents by downloading all pertinent information from the City of McAllen € s web page: www.mcallen.net/bids . Solicitation documents shall not be mailed, or provided in person, interested concerns are advised to download information from the website identified above.

Be advised that if your company is contemplating in submitting a response/proposal to this solicitation you must register with the Purchasing and Contracting Department by phone, fax, or e-mail. Please include your company name, address, phone and fax number, as well as, contact person). (szamora@mcallen.net )

The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all proposals and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities and to accept the proposal to be the best and most advantageous to the City, and hold the proposals for a period of 60 days without taking action.
