Description
NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source delivery order with the Bell-Boeing JPO (BBJPO) for the procurement of the design, development, manufacture, test and delivery of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and associated logistics support, end item spares, technical manuals, calibration, and associated supportability data to support the depot level of maintenance of the Flaperon, Elevator, and the Swashplate Actuators at NADEP Cherry Point. The V-22 Actuator support equipment tools are comprised of 57 items. BBJPO, the designer, developer, and integrator of the V-22 Aircraft Weapons System, is the original manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft. The 57 tools being procured need to be developed and tested in conjunction with the VHATs system. BBJPO remains the only business entity that has all the required proprietary rights and non disclosure agreements for the V-22 aircraft and the VHATs system to ensure receipt of the tools within the required time frame and a seamless integration between the VHATs, the Elevator, Falperon, and Swashplate actuators being supported by this project, and the 57 tools being designed. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Section 6.302-1.
