Specialty Market Pesticide Data
A. Background
Before the EPA takes regulatory actions on pesticides, studies are conducted on human health, environmental, economic and social impacts as required by the FIFRA 92-515, as amended. In order to adequately evaluate health, environmental, social, and economic aspects of the use of substitutes for pesticides, a data base is needed which contains accurate, current usage data for non-agriculturally used pesticides by chemical, end-use product, site treated, possible proximity to human contact and the qualities of pesticidal active ingredients applied. The Kline & Company, Inc. reports being requested contain essential items for the data base required by our regulatory program.
This contract will make available to EPA pesticide market survey data and reports that will serve as a critical input in conducting economic and related analyses of pesticide regulatory matters. These data are for internal use within the EPA, not for release to non-subscribers or the general public without prior permission of the contractor. The market studies should provide current data on various non-agricultural sites.
