Synopsis:

Title: "Electronic Remote Access to Materials Science, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Polymers, And Composites Publications"

The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract with ProQuest LLC, Ann Arbor, MI with a base period of twelve months and four twelve month options to extend the term of the contract under the authority of FAR 6.303-1 (41USC 253(c)(1)) to provide electronic remote access to technical publications for materials science, metallurgy, ceramics, polymers, and composites used in engineering application.

Based on recent market research, NIST believes that only ProQuest, LLC can satisfy NIST s requirement. However, interested parties that can clearly and unambiguously demonstrate their capability shall respond to this notice and provide written evidence of such capability. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed acquisition will be based on responses to this notice; such determination is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests will be honored.
