Electroantennography Detector
Solicitation No. 2008-4431-012
The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, intends to Sole Source purchase a Electroantennography (EAG) from Syntech of Kirchzarten, Germany. This EAG must be compatible with and will be connected to an existing Varian Model: CP-3800 GAS Chromatography. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2008-4431-012 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following:
SPECIFICATIONS:
1. 4-CHANNEL USB ACQUISITION CONTROLLER, type IDAC-4
4-channel amplifier / data-acquisition system for the Universal Serial Bus
(USB). For use with any PC (and portables) with USB port.
Real-time on screen display of all signals before and during recording
Fully software programmable: Gain, Offset, Filters, Command inputs, etc.
50/60 Hz filter and zero offset control; special EAG filter
Sampling rate (1/s - 100k/s) adjustable for each channel individually
Powered inputs for active sensors and headstages (Probes)
Voice comments can be recorded with data
All inputs and outputs galvanically isolated
DIRECT OUTPUTS for up to 8 external solenoids (valves) and actuators
DIRECT OUTPUTS for 2 proportional actuators (lights, flow controllers,
motors, etc.). Programmable time sequence of actuator (solenoids and motors) outputs
Graphical time sequence actuator control program
Actuator sequence runs simultaneously with signal acquisition

7. Gerstel Effluent Splitter
This equipment shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the USDA, ARS, located in Stoneville, MS.
"This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)"

All systems and components shall be provided with a one (1) year warranty from the time of owner's acceptance. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor and material. Delivery of the unit by the instrument vendor must be within 15 days of award of contract.
ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a Electroantennography Detector to USDA, ARS, 59 Lee Road, Stoneville, MS 38776.
This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
