| Opportunity Summary |
Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) serves the public safety
community (police, corrections, fire, parole and probation, emergency medical dispatch
(EMD), telecommunications, polygraph, and private security) both as a regulatory agency
(Standards and Certification) and training facility (Training Division). On the regulatory
side we track officers' employment, training and education history. This information is
used to approve and track certification status and levels. On the training side, we run an
academy that houses and conducts the basic and advanced training classes for police,
corrections, parole and probation, EMD, telecommunications, fire, supervisory and middle
manage
The below bid items are for Lenel OnGuard 2006. Lenel OnGuard 2006 integrates advanced
access control, alarm monitoring, digital video hardware, intrusion detection, asset
tracking, information security integration, credential production, and employee and
visitor management functionality. At DPSST we utilize two servers, one for access control
the other for video capture, retention and management.
This is a multi-award contract, where line items will go to the lowest responsible and
responsive bidder. Bidder can bid on one or all items. Item 2 the agency will purchase 4
units to start with. Items 3 and 4 will be purchases as funds come available based on the
bid price and agency needs.
It's the intent of the agency to have the winning vendor of item 1 and 1.1 to provide a
bid on software maintenance for the following modules for Lenel OnGuard 2006 access
control, alarm monitoring and digital video when the original software maintenance expires
this year. At the time of the bid the agency will supply how many units and what timeframe
of software maintenance will be needed.
Contract time, the initial contract term will be for a period of one year with a
conditional option to renew each year, for up to four additional years, for a total
contract term of up to five years. DPSST reserves the right to amend the contract for time
and/or money contingent upon need and the availability of approved funding. At the time of
renewal any price change will be negotiated
