The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) through the Office of Reading, Early Childhood and Language Arts is soliciting competitive written proposals from Mississippi Public School Districts for Dyslexia Pilot Programs. Mississippi Code 37-23-15 requires the MDE to adopt pilot programs to evaluate and identify students with dyslexia. In accordance with the pilot programs, the law authorizes school districts to implement appropriate multisensory, systematic, language-based regular education programs for dyslexic students that do not qualify for special education services.
