DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Department of Human Services
(DHS), Benefit, Employment and Support Services Division (BESSD), Employment
& Child Care Program Office, requests proposals
from qualified applicants to
establish a Parenting Education Program for two parent families and other low
income families at or below 500% FPL who have harmed or are at risk of
harming
their children who may volunteer for services or be mandated to participate
statewide. Education services
should include but are not limited to the following core curriculum
elements:
anger management, communication, child safety, nutrition and domestic
violence. The Proposals may be
submitted from the private (for profit and non-profit) sectors as well
as
religious and faith-based organizations, in keeping with Sec. 104, Public Law
104-193.
All proposals must conform to the
format and instructions provided in the Request
for Proposals (RFP) HMS-903-08-11-S information packets. Information packets will
be
available beginning Monday March 3,
2008 from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the BESSD Administration Office, 820
Mililani Street, Ste. 606, Haseko
Center, Honolulu,
HI 96813.
This RFP will also be available on
the web at http://www6.hawaii.gov/spo2/health/rfp103f/. Proposal submittal deadline is Friday April 18, 2008 by 4:30 p.m.
