Synopsis:

Scope of Work:

The work shall consist of what is shown on the plans, stated in the specifications, and summarized below (Plans and Specifications will be posted here on about June 17th):

Construct the detour roadway.
Remove and reset the existing bridge on the detour.
Establish the signing for the detour and open the detour.
Excavate for the footings.
Construct the footings.
Erect the lower plate arch segments.
Place riprap in excavated areas.
Erect the crown portion of the plate arch and the headwalls/wingwalls.
Install structural backfill.
Place riprap along road 871.
Place surface aggregate and recondition existing road.
Furnish and install new guardrail.
Remove detour signs and re-open Forest System Road # 871.
Remove the detour and regrade to approximate prior condition.
Construct the permanent ford.
Seeding, planting, and final site work.
Deliver the existing bridge to Routt National Forest.

The Dexter Creek bridge is located approximately 1.7 miles from Highway 550 and approximately 3 miles north of the town of Ouray. The bridge is located on Forest Service Road # 871 in the Uncompahgre National Forest. Forest Service Road # 871 is a native surface road.
