The City of Boca Raton, Florida is accepting Request for Proposals from qualified firms for the above.
The City has designated a tract of public land, to be designed, developed and operated as an Ice Rink Facility including related support amenities in exchange for a negotiated compensation package. The Proposer, at its own cost, will be responsible for financing and providing the development, operation and maintenance of the ice rink facility and related amenities. The public land is a site within the northern portion of the former IBM property known as € Blue Lake € or € T-Rex € , which is owned by the City and located within the City limits. The land provided for the facility is approximately six (6) acres contained within an approximately 12 +/- acre site just east of the new Spanish River Library and Community Center adjacent to a 20+/- acre lake.
Nothing contained in the proposal or resulting agreement may be deemed in any way to constitute City or Proposer a partner of the other in its business or otherwise, or a joint venture or a member of a joint enterprise with the other. Proposer shall be considered an independent contractor for all purposes.

This RFP is not available for electronic submission and requires the sealed RFP to be submitted to the City of Boca Raton, Purchasing Division, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton FL in accordance with the instructions identified in the RFP document.

| Activity Date | Title | Description | | 2/4/2008 10:30:00 AM EST | Pre-Proposal Meeting | All interested parties are invited to attend a pre-proposal conference on February 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. located in the 3rd Floor Conference Room, City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton. Proposers are urged to be prompt and be familiarized with the RFP document.
Proposers may participate by conference call by sending an email request to lkunkel@myboca.us at least two business days before the meeting date. A reply / confirmation email will follow with instructions and phone number to use for the conference call.
At this time, the City's representative(s) will be available to answer questions relative to this RFP. Any modifications may be presented in writing to, or discussed with the City's representative as possible amendments to the RFP. The pre-proposal meeting is not mandatory. Attendees will be required to follow visitor security access procedures for entry into City Hall.
