Description
Synopsis:     The US Forest Service intends to negotiate a sole source contract with EarthCam Inc for a Heavy Duty Dual Optic ? Portable Webcam System. The complete turn key system shall include a dual head thermal and day light imaging robotic network camera with archiving images for remote viewing over the internet via a password protected website. Features - Weather Resistant, nitrogen charged (anti-fogging), light weight camera (under 10 lbs), streamlining video, mobile robotic operation software, rugged weather proof casing, thermal imaging, power supply, wireless datalink and secure archiving feature. The system software will also enable remote management, remote power monitoring, remote preset identification, frame grabbing, search functionality (by camera and day), web based viewing, live streaming, integration of weather data, and archiving functionality.

The system should also have the ability to be shipped via FedEx (UPS, USPS etc) or checked as baggage on aircraft.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals.     No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.     However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.     Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.     Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Forest Service Contracting, 3833 S. Development Ave, Boise ID, 83705 or via fax to (208) 387-5384.     Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.     If no responses are received, the Forest Service will proceed with the sole source negotiation with EarthCam Inc.
