The Government has a commodities requirement for DVB-RCS Basebamd Equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees; the SIC code is 4899. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. This solicitation is unrestricted. The incorporated provisions and clauses are current to Fac 2005-25, Effective 22 May 2008. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts, shipping, and all other items necessary to provide the following items:



Line Item 0001: DVB-RCS JSOC Terminal Baseband Equipment QTY: 2 ea

Includes:



Cisco 2940 w/ SmartNet

Cisco 2811 w/ SmartNet and max memory

Cisco NM-16ESW 16 port 10/100 (for Cisco 2811)

DVB-RCS/S2 satellite modem S5100





FOB: Destination for delivery to Hurlburt Field, FL 32544.



The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition and will remain in full force in any resultant award: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items. It is amended to read: Offeror shall submit signed and dated offer to include technical specification and/or literature sufficient to support an or equal determination. It is the responsibility of each offeror to provide data supporting their proposed product(s) as an equal product to those listed in this combined synopsis/solicitation. Offeror shall submit offers to 1 SOCONS/LGCC, Attn: 2Lt William Chang, 350 Tully St Bldg 90339, Hurlburt Field FL 32544-5810 NLT 2 June 08; 4:00 PM local time. Submit signed and dated quotations on company letterhead or quotation form and marked with solicitation number F2FF088128AC02.



Offers may be emailed to william.chang@hurlburt.af.mil . No fax offers will be accepted. The government reserves the right to evaluate proposals and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Offers shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR 52.212-2, evaluation of Commercial Items which is incorporated into this Request for Quote, with an addendum to paragraph (a) as follows: The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Price and technical acceptability as or equal . When combined, price and technical acceptability are approximately equal.

The purpose of this amendment is to answer the questions asked by vendors in regards to this solicitation and to reestablish a response date. All offers for this solicitation are due by 4:00 pm (Central time) 28 Aug 08. This is a reminder that fax offers will not be accepted. Listed below are the questions and answers for this solicitation.





Could you provide the desired part numbers for this Solicitation? The Cisco 2940 and 2811 come in a number of models and we are not sure what is wanted. Also, are there a specific manufacturer and model number of satellite modem desired?



On the CISCO 2940, is an "8 Ethernet 10/100 ports + 1 Ethernet 10/100/1000BASE-T Wall-mountable, standalone, managed switch".



The CISCO 2811 is a "CISCO2811-HSEC/K9", which is a "Cisco 2811 security bundle with Cisco IOS advanced IP services, 64 MB Compact Flash/256 MB DRAM, and AIM-VPN-EPII-PLUS".



The Cisco "NM-16ESW" is a "16 port 10/100 module", which is compatible for multiple CISCO devices.



The DVB-RCS/S2 satellite modem S5100 is "the Advantech Satellite Networks SatNet S5100 VSAT terminal" or equivalent.
