Description:
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center intends to procure Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and associated services, NAICS Code: 532291, Small Business Size Standard: $5.0 Million. Contractor to furnish all labor, facilities, transportation and equipment required to provide Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, at the Philadelphia V.A. Medical Center (PVAMC), 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104. Geographic service locations include Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, and the surrounding areas. All work performed will be in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The subject acquisition will follow the methods and procedures found in FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Due to the requirements in the forthcoming solicitation, and any resultant contract, the contractor must be based in the Philadelphia/ Southern New Jersey geographic area. The solicitation will be posted approximately 7 - 14 days after the date of this notice. The initial base contract period of performance is planned to begin October 01, 2008, and run through and including September 30, 2009, with provisions for four additional one- year option periods that may be exercised at the Government's discretion.
Note: This procurement is a Small-Business Set-Aside, and is being set-aside for only Small Businesses to respond.
