This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, with supplemental information included in this notice. This constitutes the only solicitation. Price quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. RMH00080051 incorporated provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC 97-3, as required. NAICS code is 517919. This procurement is Set-Aside for SMALL BUSINESS. This project will be procured using commercial item procedures. This procurement is for the purchase of brand new equipment as described:
Item Description QTY 1. Drum Grinder 1 The drum grinder will be used on the SCIP System to trim, shred, and cut small trees, overgrown weeds and brush that are growing along the SCIP Maintenance roadways to include all canals, laterals and drains. The capacity shall be at least 48 swath or width of the cutting area. 2. Concrete Crusher 1 The concrete crusher must be heavy duty. Will be used to crush and separate old or replaced concrete structure, pipes, etc.,removed from the SCIP system for proper disposal. Dimensions: Excavator weight: 45,000 - 75,000 lbs., attachment weight: 3,700 lbs, full open 42 inches, Stationary jaw width: 33 inches, and curl jaw width 23 inches.
Both items must meet the minimum as described and must be compatible with a Caterpillar M318D Wheeled Excavator.
Delivery is to San Carlos Irrigation Project, 13805 N. Arizona Blvd., Coolidge, Arizona 85228. Required delivery date is October 31, 2008. FOB Destination Quote. Offerors will be evaluated in accordance with 52.212-2 (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement 2) Price.
