NOTICE TO PROVIDERS OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

In accordance with Sectionsection 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the State of Hawaii, Department of Taxation (the "Department"), is seeking qualified professionals to provide services in the following areas.

Individuals will be considered for contracts as the need arises. The departmentDepartment anticipates the need for the following professional services in fiscal year 2009 (July 2008 June 2009), which includes the following:

Geological Engineering

4. GS 0810 Civil Engineering

5. GS 0819 Environmental Engineering

7. GS 0850 - Electrical Engineering

8. GS 0858 - Biomedical Engineer

9. GS 0881 Petroleum Engineering

10. GS 0890 Agricultural Engineering

1. GE 0801 General Engineering

Geo-thermal Engineer

Petroleum Engineer

1. GS 0819 - Environmental Engineer

11. GS 0893 Chemical Engineering

12. GS 0896 Industrial Engineering

Those firms and individuals interested and capable of providing the professional services required and described above should submit the following information by July 27, 2007 no later than 9:00 amJune 23, 2008 9:00 am, to:

The following should be submitted (Please click on "More Info" and complete Letter of Interest, Statement of Qualifications and References forms. For fillable forms, please email Dale.S.Chang@hawaii.gov):

  1. Letter of Interest indicating the categories that the firm or individual is interested and qualified to provide professional services. Firms and individuals that want to be considered for more than one category of service shall indicate all such categories in their Letter of Interest. The Letter of Interest shall include the vendor's legal name; legal form (corporation, partnership, joint venture, sole proprietorship); state of incorporation, if applicable; business address; email address; telephone number; federal and state tax identification numbers; and hourly rate.

  1. Statement of Qualificationsor Executive Summary for each specialty category request highlighting the individual's qualifications, expertise, and experience.

3. References - Three (3) references that the departmentDepartment may freely contact.

Submittals will continue to be received after the deadline of July 27, 2007. However, review and selection of qualified individuals whose submittals are received after the deadline will be conductedreceived after June 23, 2008 will be reviewed, conducted, and selected quarterly or as needed.

Facsimile transmissions will not be accepted.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Selection of professionals will be made in accordance with Sectionsection 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statues and Sectionsection 3-122-Subchapter 7, Hawaii Administrative Rules, as amended. The selection criteria employed shall include:

1. Experience and professional qualifications relevant to project type.

2. Past performance on projects of similar scope for public agencies or private industry including corrective actions and other responses to notices of deficiencies.

3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time.

4. Any other criteria as determined by the selection committee to be relevant or necessary.

Selected firms and individuals may be required to travel to the neighbor islands. Reasonable business expenses will be reimbursed at cost upon presentation of written receipts.
