NOTICE
TO BIDDERS
(Chapter 103D, HRS)
SEALED BIDS for Upgrade of Baseyard Vehicle Fueling Station, HONOLULU
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ISLAND OF OAHU, STATE PROJECT NO. CO1803-33, will be
received at the Contracts Office, Department of Transportation, 869 Punchbowl
Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, until 2:00 P.M., June 26, 2008, Hawaii Standard
Time (HST), at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
The scope of work consists of removal and
replacement of the existing vehicle fuel pumps and dispensers, the provision
and installation of Vehicle Fleet Management software and hardware components;
and the integration of the new fuel dispenser units with the fleet management
system and the existing vehicle fleet, at Honolulu International Airport.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess
a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractor s C-37 or C-37f licenses.
Plans and specifications may be examined at
or borrowed from the above office.
Borrowed plans and specifications shall be returned in good condition
within thirty (30) calendar days after the bid opening date.
The "General Provisions" applicable to this project
are also available for purchase from the above office for One Dollar ($1.00)
per copy.
A pre-bid
meeting/inspection will be held at 1:30 p.m., June 4, 2008, at the Department
of Transportation, Airports Division, Inter-Island Terminal Building, 7th
Floor Conference Room B, by the State to describe and discuss the work and
answer any questions. All prospective
bidders are encouraged to attend.

Campaign contributions by
State and County Contractors.
Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section
11-205.5, HRS, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from
specified State or county government contractors during the term of the contract
if the contractors are paid with funds appropriated by a legislative body. For

The U.S. Department of Transportation Regulation
entitled Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the U.S. Department
of Transportation, Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 21 is
applicable to this project. Bidders are
hereby notified that the Department of Transportation will affirmatively ensure
that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded
to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race,
color, national origin and sex (as directed by 23 CFR Part 200).
In accordance with Section 3-124-4, Hawaii
Administrative Rules, the Hawaii Products Preference is applicable to this
project. The Hawaii Product List may be
examined at the State Procurement Office, Kalanimoku Building, 1151 Punchbowl
Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.
Each proposal shall be on a form furnished
by said Department.
