P.M. (Hawaii Standard Time), June 12, 2008, at which time and place they
will be publicly opened and read.

SEALED BIDS for MAINTENANCE OF VIDEO MONITORING ACCESS
CONTROL SYSTEM (VMACS), HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, HONOLULU, HAWAII,
PROJECT NO. BO1810-53, will be received at the Contracts Office, Department of
Transportation, 869 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 until 2:00 P. M., May 29, 2008, at
which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
The scope of work generally consists of maintaining, and
repairing the Video Monitoring Access Control System (VMACS) at Honolulu
International Airport. This system
consists of a redundant fault tolerant central Host processing computer,
networked to distributed intelligent field control panels, each connected to
electronic security monitoring and access control sensors and/or devices.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of
Hawaii Specialty Contractor s C-15 of C-15a License.
Bid documents may be examined at or borrowed from the above
office. Bid documents shall be returned
in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the bid opening date.
A pre-bid meeting/inspection will be held at 9:00
a.m., May 16, 2008, at the Seventh (7th) Floor Conference Room in
the Administration Tower of the Overseas Terminal Building, Honolulu,
International Airport, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819, by the State to describe and
discuss the work and answer any questions.
All Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend, but attendance is not
mandatory.

Campaign contributions by State and County Contractors. Contractors
are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS, which states
that campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or county government
contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with
funds appropriated by a legislative body.

The U.S. Department of Transportation Regulation entitled
Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the U.S. Department of
Transportation, Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 21 is
applicable to this project. Bidders are
hereby notified that the Department of Transportation will affirmatively ensure
that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded
to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race,
color, national origin and sex (as directed by 23 CFR Part 200).
In accordance with Section 3-124-4, Hawaii
Administrative Rules, the Hawaii Products Preference is applicable to this
project. The Hawaii Product List may be
examined at the State Procurement Office, Kalanimoku Building, 1151 Punchbowl
Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.Each proposal shall be on a form furnished by
said Department.
