NOTICE TO BIDDERS
(Chapter 103D, HRS)
SEALED BIDS for
MAINTENANCE OF AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,
HONOLULU, HAWAII, PROJECT NO.
BO1901-43, will be received at the Contracts Office, Department of
Transportation, 869 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, until 2:00 p.m.,
Hawaii Standard Time (HST),
June 5, 2008, at which
time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
The scope of work
generally consists of the repair and maintenance of the air conditioning system
at the Honolulu International Airport.
Bid documents may be
examined at or borrowed from the above offices. Bid documents shall be returned in good condition within thirty
(30) calendar days after the bid opening date.
To be eligible to bid,
bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractor s
"C-52" License.
The "Appendix
D" which is not physically included in these specifications consists of 26
sheets of Airport Tenant maps. The maps
can be used to locate the equipment to be maintained and may be examined or
purchased for ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) per sheet at the Airports Division, 7th
floor, Inter-Island Terminal, Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu, Hawaii.
A pre-bid
meeting/inspection will be held on May 21, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Airports
Division's Conference Room C, located on the 7th floor of the
Inter-Island Terminal Building at Honolulu International Airport, by the State
to describe and discuss the work and answer any questions.
All prospective
bidders are encouraged to attend, but attendance is not mandatory.

Each proposal shall be on a form furnished by said
Department.
Campaign contributions by
State and County Contractors.
Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS, which states that
campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or county government
contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with
funds appropriated by a legislative body.

The U.S. Department of Transportation Regulation
entitled Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the U.S.
Department of
Transportation, Title 49, Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR), Part 21
is applicable to this project. Bidders
are hereby notified that the Department of Transportation will affirmatively
ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds
of race, color, national origin and sex (as directed by 23 CFR Part 200).
