Synopsis:

This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable.

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-09-T-0001 http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. Desiccant bags (7 gram, 8 gram, 16 gram) in accordance with drawings. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Drytech, Inc., 54 Wrightstown-Cookstown Road, PO Box 128, Cookstown, NJ 08511-0128. All other offerors may submit a quote that will be reviewed by the Government. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NOTE: DRAWINGS ARE RESTRICTED/LIMITED DISTRIBUTI! ON, SO YOUR COMPANY MUST REQUEST COPIES, AND ONCE YOUR COMPANY VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY WITH THE JOINT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (JCP) IS COMPLETED, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE DRAWING. PLEASE SEND REQUESTS TO sharon.lapray@navy.mil AND YOU MUST REFERENCE THE SOLICITATION NUMBER LISTED IN BLOCK 5. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
