Bids

The City of Boston € s Neighborhood Housing Trust (NHT) is seeking proposals from for-profit and non-profit developers of affordable housing eligible to apply for a total of up to Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000) in development funding.

The maximum funding request is capped at $750,000 per project. This funding is available for rental and cooperative projects. NHT funds may be used only for development of new rental and cooperative housing or preservation of expiring use projects facing the imminent loss of affordability.

The Department of Neighborhood Development is acting as an agent of the Neighborhood Housing Trust solely for the purpose of distribution of this Request for Proposal application package and submission of the same.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) application package will be available beginning MONDAY, June 23, 2008, at DND, 26 Court Street, 10th Floor, Bid Counter (617) 635-4828, Boston, MA 02108.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend an Applicant € s Conference on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 10:00 AM in the Winter Chambers, 1st Floor, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent as specified as instructed in the RFP on Friday, July 11, 2008, by 4:00 PM. The letter should be mailed, faxed or delivered to the attention of Christine O € Keefe, Senior Development Officer, DND, 8th Floor, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108.

Completed proposal applications must be submitted as instructed and returned directly to DND, 26 Court Street, 10th Floor, Bid Counter, Boston, MA 02108 by Monday, August 11, 2008, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the title € NHT Funds Application € no later than 4:00 PM. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
