R--Small Business Sources Sought. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, PA, is seeking a small business that can provide MESONET weather services in support of the Fleet Activities Command at Saebo Japan.
The Fleet Activities as Sasebo have a requirement for MESONET weather services. Due to the unique topography and layout of naval facilities around Fleet Activities, Sasebo Japan, a MESONET of at least 5-7 sensors capable of measuring wind speed, wind direction, temperature, and humidity are needed to provide adequate Resource Protection to the assets in that area. The MESONET must be able to provide near real-time data with Naval forecaster access available through a website. The data should also be archived and be available for a minimum of 1 year. The sensors will be maintained by the contracting entity.
