The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to Hirox-USA Inc., 1060 Main Street, Suite 302, River Edge, NJ 07661, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1b, Only One Source Reasonable Available. The FBI intends to acquire a HIROX KH-7700 Digital Microscope. The KH-7700 digital microscope systems uses lens features that are considered "Long Working Distance (WD) and "Extended Depth of Field," made with flourite materials that are suitable over a wide range of light wavelengths, from the ultraviolet to infrared. Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, HIROX-USA Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing a digital microscope system that has a unique catalog of sophisticated lenses and adapters built around a fiber optic cable attached to the camera control system. The lens adapters are among the most sophisticated in the industry with a 360 degree field of view that observes every edge of the sample in real-time video. Quotes shall be accepted by email only. No other methods of submission will be accepted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
