This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) located in Newport, Rhode Island anticipates placing a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Performance Based Service Contract (PBSC) for automated information systems (AIS) maintenance and repair in Newport, RI. The types of systems to be maintained are HP, DELL, APPLE, COMPAQ, IBM computers, Silicon Graphics workstations, Compaq servers and peripheral equipment such as printers, disk drives and tape drives. The anticipated contract shall utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The contract structure shall utilize a base year with four (4) additional option years. The contract shall be awarded through best value source selection utilizing the following factors: technical capability, past performance and price.
