Synopsis:

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Misonix, Inc, 1938 New Highway, Farmingdale, NY ,11735 under the authority of FAR 12.106-1(b)(1). This requirement is for the purchase of three (3) customized ductless fume enclosures for the Electro-Static Detection Apparatus (ESDA) machines. The units are located in the IRS, National Forensic laboratory in Chicago, IL.. These enclosures will be custom designed to fit the ESDA machines to include a head section with two speed blower, low airflow alarm, fluorescent lighting, electro-statically charged pre-filter, base section with chemically resistant acrylic panels. To include HEPA filters and carbon filters. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interested parties who identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, will be considered. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, all requests for the solicitation will be considered non-responsive. A determination no to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest in writing via facsimile or e-mail within 10 calendar days or the published date of this notice. Documents over ten (10) pages in total will not be accepted by facsimile. Verification of receipt of fax and e-mail transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor. All Treasury contractors are required to be actively registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to receipt of contract award. If no responses are received, an award shall be made to Misonix.
