WANAPITEI WATER TREATMENT PLANT - PHASE 1 UPGRADES

CONSTRUCTION WORKS

Upgrade of the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant to incorporate the addition of Ultra-Violet Light Disinfection and generally including:

Supply and installation of two (2) pre-selected U.V. Light Disinfection Units and Controllers from Trojan Technologies;

Site works including excavations for a building expansion of approximately 450 sq.m., road access, and driveways;

Single storey building addition of 450 sq.m. with partial basement, pre-cast T beam roof, garage door, overhead crane extension, doors, electrical wiring, lighting, heating and ventilation.

Process piping including 600 mm and 750 mm fabricated stainless steel piping, butterfly valves, magnetic flow meters, and fittings;

Electrical and instrumentation works including replacement of the existing site transformer, and utility disconnects, power distribution, new MCC, starters and auto-transfer switch, new PLC including programming, control wiring and instruments;

Decommissioning of the existing standby power diesel generators and supply and installation of one (1) new 1500 kW diesel generator, acoustic panel, louvres, exhaust system, diesel fuel storage and controls.

PRE-QUALIFICATION

Tenderers must pre-qualify and the deadline to apply for pre-qualification is 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

Tender forms and envelopes for bidding purposes will be issued only to contractors who have pre-qualified.

TENDER INFORMATION MEETING

A Tender Information Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., in Committee Room C-13A, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady Street, Sudbury, Ontario. The Tender Information Meeting will be followed by an optional site visit.

TENDER OPENING

Tenders will be opened publicly at 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, by the Tender Opening Committee, in Committee Room C-21, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady Street, Sudbury, Ontario.

TENDER AWARD

Tender award is subject to receipt of necessary regulatory and budgetary approvals. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
