Synopsis:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the complete installation of underground utility lines at the Tellico River Service Center on the Cherokee National Forest, in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, Terms, and Conditions. Total project includes but is not limited to approximately 600 linear feet of 240V, single phase, secondary electrical cable in conduit, 650 lf of 2 diameter HDPE water line, 3 freeze-proof hydrants, a submersible pump including all plumbing, wiring, and controls, trenching, excavation, backfilling, surfacing, seeding, and 3 electrical pedestal for RV electric hookup. Other items included: Construction of a sewer lift station, pump house, RV dump station, paving, and pavement marking. Contract time will be 180 calendar days from the effective date on the notice to proceed.

ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $100,000. and $250,000.

This procurement is 100% set aside for Hubzone certified businesses.

PROJECT LOCATION: Tellico River Service Center, Tellico/Hiwassee Ranger District, Monroe County, Tellico Plains, Tennessee. Directions to the project site from Tellico Plains, TN: travel east on TN 165 (Cherohala Skyway) for approximately 9 miles, then veer right onto Tellico River Road (FS 210) and proceed to the job site located at the intersection with FS Road 216 (North River Short Cut Road). This site is presently known as Tellico River Campsite #2 and North River Check Station.

SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, AG-4756-S-08-0025, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about July 15, 2008 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. A Pre-Bid visit date will be included in the solicitation. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database(CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Information is available at the site including how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. Vendors are also required to be registered with the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Registration may be completed by going to http://www.bpn.gov and clicking on Online Reps and Certs Application . You must be active in CCR and have an MPIN from that active record to begin ORCA registration. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Intrested Vendor. The Interested Vendor s List will be the only Bidder s List maintained for this procurement.
