| The Volunteer Florida Foundation is issuing a request for proposals, RFP, from community and faith-based grassroots, charitable organizations under its Compassion Florida initiative. The purpose of these grant funds is to build the capacity of new and small-budget organizations to better serve their clientele, communities, and constituencies. The RFP with application instructions will be available at www.volunteerflorida.foundation.org on January 31, 2008. The deadline for receipt of proposals is 5:00 pm March 20, 2008 by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Compassion Florida initiative is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Compassion Capital Fund under the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance No. 93.009.
