SERVICE TO CARRIER AIR COOLED CHILLERS: The solicitation number is FA8601-08-T-0064. This is a SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. The proposed contract is for nonpersonal services to provide preventive and remedial maintenance on two (2) Carrier Air Cooled Chillers. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Carrier Commercial Services of Dayton, Ohio. Carrier is considered to be a sole source based on the proprietary nature of their equipment, test tools, and software accessability. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and solicitation documents are not available; however, any quotation received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
