The State of Florida, Department of Transportation, District 2, is soliciting for a Construction Management @ Risk Company to work with the Design Firm (DMJM+Harris, Miami, Florida, Contract # C5481) to build the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center, a multimodal transportation facility, located in Duval County which is in Northeast Florida. The first phase of the project will consist of the Regional Transportation Management Center (Intelligent Transportation System Control Center) and street improvements. This project will be located adjacent to the Prime Osborne Conventional Center, within the city block surrounded by I-95, Forsyth, Johnson and Bay Streets.

Interested Construction Management @ Risk Companies shall submit a Qualifications Experience Questionnaire and Contractor € s Financial Statement. The Request for Qualifications Experience Questionnaire and Contractor € s Financial Statement is attached to this advertisement.

Other phases may be added at a later date. Some of the phases may be a public plaza, the Bus Rapid Transit Station, a public parking structure and the offices for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and the First Coast Metropolitan Planning Organization. If a phase is added, it will be by written modification once funds are available and authorized.

A PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIAL PAYMENT BOND will be required at the time of construction of any phase of the project.

The Construction Management @ Risk Cover Letter with attached Qualifications Experience Questionnaire and Contractor € s Financial Statement will be due before 2:00 pm, February 8, 2008. The names of the companies submitting will be publicly read at the above address at 2:00 PM, February 8, 2008.

The Calendar of Events attached identifies important events in the procurement process.

Proposers must be authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida, possess all permits and licenses required, and meet the written requirements. Qualifications Experience Questionnaire and Contractor € s Financial Statements delivered after the due date and time specified in the Calendar of Events will not be considered.

The Department reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or accept minor irregularities in the best interest of the State of Florida.

ACTUAL COMMITMENT AND FINAL EXECUTION OF THIS CONTRACT IS CONTINGENT UPON AN APPROVED LEGISLATIVE BUDGET AND AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
