Overview
| The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), Bureau of Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention, funds a statewide network of community agencies that provide crisis intervention and prevention services to domestic violence victims and their children. Services offered by these local agencies include a 24-hour crisis response, emergency shelter, adult and child counseling, support groups, legal and other systems advocacy, employment and housing search assistance, transportation, food and clothing assistance, elder abuse services and transitional housing. In addition, to these intervention services, domestic violence programs also provide prevention services such as community outreach and education.
The Bureau of Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention is seeking two (2) Vendors to provide specialized training to staff employed by its network of community agencies and community stakeholders. The training will enhance direct service workers, management and executive staff ability to help individuals and families affected by domestic violence. The training may include a variety of activities and services, including, but not limited to, curricula and resource development including distance learning, topic-specific workshops, educational forums and other specialized training jointly determined by the Bureau and the Vendor. |
