THIS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR SOURCES FOR 5.56 X 45MM CALIBER CARBINE ASSAULT RIFLE PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR). This RFI is in accordance with FAR Part 10, Market Research. This part prescribes policies and procedures for conducting market research to arrive at the most suitable approach to acquiring, distributing, and supporting supplies and services.
The Transportation Security Administration intends to conduct market research pursuant to the requirement set forth below FOR 5.56 X 45MM caliber carbine assault rifle to determine if there are any small businesses capable of satisfying the requirement.
Small businesses that have the capability to provide the rifles per the attached draft statement of work are requested to respond with the following information:
1. Company Name, DUNS, Point of Contact Name, Phone, Email, and NAICS codes.
2. Companies are required to provide three (3) copies of any literature describing their candidate rifle system.
3. Evidence of experience in production similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact and telephone numbers
4. Any technical evaluations conducted of the products offered within the last 2 years.
5. Past performance references with points of contact and telephone numbers (at least two are requested) but more may be submitted
The information shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer at debra.stuart@dhs.gov.by 06/24/2008 by 4:00 pm EST. Offerors are advised that the limit for file size transport through
the email system is 5MB. Large files should be compressed. Offerors shall contact the
Contracting Officer well in advance of the submission deadline to make alternate delivery
arrangements if file attachments will exceed the size limitation.
