The Bureau of Land Management, California Desert District, Needles Field Office has a requirement for a Contractor to design and build metal steel exclosures set on poured concrete foundations for the four deep shafts 2,3,4, and 5. Exclosure Design Plan would include bat cupolas to allow for ingress and egress. Design standards would include requirements to prevent access by small unattended children and to preserve the existing wooden shoring and ladders where feasible. Contractors would be required to have the necessary expertise, equipment and certifications. Contractors should have experience and knowledge working in desert tortoise habitat.
This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS 541330. SITE TOUR WILL BE ON THE 16TH OF JUNE 2008 @ 9am PDT. Prospective Contractors will meet at the BLM Needles Field Office, 1303 S. Highway 95, Needles, California. Transportation will not be provided to the site, prospective contractors will have to provide their own transportation for off highway use to and from the site.
