The Boston Redevelopment Authority ( € BRA € ) is issuing a Request for Proposals ( € RFP € ) for a consultant team that can provide multi-disciplinary services to prepare and develop a North Allston-Brighton Community Wide (CWP). The purpose of the CWP is to augment, re-evaluate and refine the goals of the 2005, North Allston Strategic Framework for Planning (NASFP); and how Harvard € s Master Plan relates to, and integrates with the plan for the North Allston-Brighton neighborhood.
Through a community process a series of short-, medium-, and long-term deliverables will be created.
These will include but not be limited to a reference document of codifiable land development regulations and design guidelines, a residential build-out strategy, an economic development/retail strategy, transportation and infrastructure/open space strategy.
Specific areas of expertise needed by the consultant team to prepare the CWP include: multi-modal transportation, utilities, public services, land use, real estate economics, retail development, housing, urban design, sustainability, open space & recreation, as well as workforce development and mitigation measures.
The RFP may be purchased beginning Wednesday, May 14, 2008, from the Executive Director/Secretary Office, Boston Redevelopment Authority, Boston City Hall, One City Hall Square, 9th Floor, Room #910, and by making a check payable to the Boston Redevelopment Authority in the amount of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) non-refundable fee.
Only those respondents who purchase a copy of the RFP from the BRA will be eligible to submit a proposal. The BRA staff will be available to assist.
All responses to this RFP must be returned no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, June 13, 2008, to Mr. Harry R. Collings, Executive Director/Secretary, BRA, Boston City Hall, One City Hall Square, Room #910, Boston, MA 02201-1007.
No responses will be accepted after the due date and time. The BRA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
