Synopsis:

The U.S. Army TACOM-LCMC plans to procure Bituminous Material Paving Machines to replace paving machines already in the Armys inventory. The paving machine is being procured by Product Manager, Combat Engineer/Material Handling Equipment (PM CE/MHE). It is our intention to award approximately 54 paving machines over a five year period. We intend to award a three year firm fixed price requirements contract with two one-year options on a full and open competition basis. The paving machine shall be capable of completing paving tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to, laying, compacting, and finishing bituminous strips 6 to 16 feet wide. The paving machine consists of a receiving hopper, a spreader, a compaction unit cut-off shoes, and a screed with the capability of being extended. The Paving Machine must meet the requirements of Purchase Description ATPD-2377, dated 9 May 2007.
