City of Fort Myers - Invitation to Bid #72-07-08
The City of Fort Myers, Florida will receive SEALED BIDS
for Bid # 72-07-08 WINKLER AVENUE BIKE LANE CONSTRUCTION
(FROM METRO TO COLONIAL), in the Purchasing & Contracts
Administration Division, Post Office Box 2443, Fort Myers,
Florida 33902-2443 or 1820 Hendry Street, Fort Myers,
Florida 33901 on or before 2:00 P.M. on the 3rd day of
January 2008. at which time they will be publicly opened,
read aloud and recorded.
Scope of work shall include, but not be limited to:
Approximately 3.9 miles of bike lane construction on both
sides of Winkler Avenue, drainage structure revision,
driveway reconstruction, pavement restoration and
replacement, curb and gutter installation, sign relocation,
embankment, sod installation, etc.
A pre-bid conference will be held in the City of Fort Myers
Purchasing & Contracts Administration Division, 1820 Hendry
Street, Fort Myers, Florida at 2:00 P.M. on the 18th day of
December 2007. Attendance at this conference is strongly
recommended as a prerequisite for bidding.
Project specifications can be seen at the office of the City
of Fort Myers Public Works Director, 2200 Second Street,
Fort Myers, Florida 33901, City of Fort Myers Purchasing &
Contracts Administration Division, 1820 Hendry Street, Fort
Myers, Florida 33901, F.W. Dodge, Metro Park Garden Offices,
2830 Winkler Avenue, Suite 104A, Fort Myers, Florida 33916.
Copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained from:
City of Fort Myers Purchasing & Contracts Administration
Division (239) 332-6301. A non-refundable fee of $ 50.00
will be required for each set. All requests for Plans and
Specifications must be accompanied by a check or money order
in the full amount and shall be made out to: City of Fort
Myers. There will be an additional charge of $ 15.00 to
cover expenses if packaging and mailing is required.
