The Cleveland National Forest intends to solicit for the following barrier project. The purpose of this project is to fabricate and install 6,130 feet of metal pipe barriers and 5 removable pipe barriers at various locations on the Cleveland National Forest in accordance with the requirements, specifications, terms and conditions of the contract. This contract is for the implementation of the Burned Area Emergency Restoration (BAER) and Emergency Supplemental and Rehabilitation treatments for the Harris, Pine and the Witch/Poomacha Fires. The barriers are needed in order to maintain the fire closures and to eliminate the potential for post-fire resource damage in these areas. This solicitation will be available for electronic download on or around April 16, 2008.
