This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number 151887 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-21. The NAICS code is 333313. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract. The Government will not be responsible for any costs accrued or incurred in response to this solicitation.
Statement of Work
Copiers in Support of the RNC
1. Purpose: The Secret Service wishes to establish a BPA based on the need for copiers to lease on a temporary basis to support the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, MN. Contractor is to furnish copiers to locations and time frames as stated below:
1.1. One (1) medium size black and white copier (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for use in Saint Paul, MN 55102, for the period of June 10, 2008 through September 8, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 15, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies.
1.2. One (1) medium size black and white copier (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for use in Saint Paul, MN 55102, for the period of June 10, 2008, through September 5, 2008, Technical support will be required during regular business hours between these dates. Weekend technical support will be required for the weekend of August 23, 2008, and August 30, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies.
1.3. One (1) medium size black and white copier (20 amp, 10,000 copies) for use in Saint Paul, MN 55111, for the period of July 1, 2008, through September 5, 2008. Technical support will be required during regular business hours between these dates. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 10,000 copies.
1.4. One (1) large size color copier (20 amp, 10,000 copies) for use in Minneapolis, MN 55450, for the period of June 10, 2008, through September 5, 2008. Technical support will be required during regular business hours between these dates. Weekend and after hours technical support will be required between the dates of July 14, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 10,000 copies.
1.5. Two (2) large size color copier (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for use in Saint Paul, MN 55102, for the period of June 10, 2008, through September 5, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 15, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies.
1.6. Two (2) large size black and white copier (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for use in Saint Paul, MN 55102, for the period of June 10, 2008 through September 8, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 15, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies.
1.7. One (1) medium size black and white copier (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for use at an undetermined location July 1, 2008 through September 8, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 15, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies.

2. Contractor Screening:
2.1. The selected contractor will be required to provide the following information about the contractor's employees and subcontractors who may have direct or incidental access to information being provided by the U.S. Secret Service: a) Employee's full name; b) Employee's date and place of birth; c) Employee's social security number; and d) Employee's race and sex.
2.2. The U.S. Secret Service will conduct a background check of all named personnel. The results of these checks will be used solely by the U.S. Secret Service in evaluating personnel.
