| The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) Documentation Labs utilize the BAR-97 emission analyzer to verify the accuracy of emission readings of vehicles used in BAR investigations. Calibration gas blends are used to perform the periodic calibration of the BAR-97 emission analyzers to maintain accurate readings. The Nitrogen gas is used for pressure testing automotive fuel tanks and evaporative emission systems as part of a smog check. The BAR is seeking the services of a qualified contractor to provide BAR certified calibration gas blends and Nitrogen gas. The chosen contractor shall provide services at seven locations statewide. |
