The U. S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Protective Service (FPS), has a requirement for armed guard security services at three federally owned and leased facilities in Arlington, Virginia and Suitland, Maryland. Eligible Small Business contractors may submit proposals for this solicitation.
Award will be made using best value source selection procedures incorporating tradeoffs between price related and non-price related factors. It is the government s intention to issue an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with fixed unit pricing. The contract will have a base period of one year and four option ordering periods of one year each. The estimated start date is on or about October 1, 2008. It is the contractor s responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov). Further, offerors are required to go on-line to the Business Partner Network at http://orca.bpn.gov to complete their Online Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to submittal of a proposal. The procurement will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561612, Security Guard Services. The small business size standard is $17 million. The solicitation will be available on or about May 22, 2008. Interested parties may access and download the solicitation through the Federal Business Opportunity website at https://fbo.gov.
