Addendum # 1

Item # 1: Changed the Audio Sensors to 10 Sensors instead of 7.

Item # 5: Added to allow for Additional Items (equipment only) needed to meet basic needs
of Print Plant per the Mandatory Pre-Bid Walk Through of 6/24/08.

Item # 6: Added to allow Bidders to offer Optional Items (equipment only) that would
enhance the building security at the Print Plant.

Per Bidder Requirements (4.), Bidders shall provide information on Manufacturers Warranties
on all equipment.

Note #1: Item 6 Optional Items will NOT be used in the comparison of bids to determine the
lowest Bidder.

Note #2: Successful Bidder shall provide the Manufacturers Standard Warranties on all
equipment and a minimum 90 days warranty on installation.
Opportunity Summary
The State of Oregon, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), State Services Division
(SSD), Publishing & Distribution (PD), located at 550 Airport Road SE, Salem Oregon 97301,
is proposing to upgrade the intrusion alarm system, and add various new items such as audio
sensors (see specifications below), and monitoring services for one year, with option to
renew for four additional years, not to exceed a total of five years. To complete a
response, Bidders must attend the Mandatory Walk-Through as listed below (or have
previously attended a recent walk-through of the project).

Delivery by 7/10/08 or earlier, and completion of project by 7/31/08.
Actual installation schedule shall be mutually agreed upon between the contractor and PD.

Questions on this solicitation must be submitted no later than June 25, 2008, 4:00 PM
Pacific.

Bids may be mailed, emailed, faxed or delivered in person, prior to the closing as
listed above.

Specifications:

1 each Control Panel (AC Power supply, Telco connection - or equivalent, backup battery)
7 each Audio Sensors
1 each LEM Loop Expansion (or equivalent)
12 Extra Key Pads
1 each Long Range Motion
1 each - as needed - wire, mounts connectors etc.
Plus labor
Download and Testing of Software - (Ability to set Codes from remote computer(s))
Training on use of System (for two staff on keypad use and setting of codes - includes
manuals on usage)
Monitoring 24X7 (monthly usage)

Reconnect current Alarm System (audible only available at one location); add new devices;
download software and test; provide training for two (2) staff on new system for keypad
entry of codes; and 24x7 monitoring services.

Bidders must provide a breakdown of costs for:
Equipment with unit prices and extended;
Separate cost of labor for installation including downloading of software, testing,
and reconnection of current system;
Separate cost for providing training - 2 staff plus manuals;
Separate monthly cost for monitoring and an extended total for 12 months of
monitoring;
A Grand Total for all costs for equipment, testing, training, labor, etc., and 12
months of monitoring.

Bidder Requirements/Instructions:

1. Mandatory Pre-Bid Walk-Through on Wednesday, 6/24/08 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
All Bidders must attend this Mandatory Pre-Bid Walk-Through, except as listed
above (non-attendance is grounds for rejection of the bid).

Please contact either Sharon Berning or John Rizzo, 503-373-1712, for directions,
questions and security requirements for building entry.

Note: This is a high security building.
All bidders must be on time, and are required to sign-in and wear a visitor
badge at all times during the Walk-Through, for security purposes. Late
arrivals or failure to attend will be considered cause for rejection of the bid.
2. Print off the PDF form:
All bidders must submit their bid on the bid document viewable by clicking on
the "View PDF" link located on the left-hand menu. See specifications for
further instructions on bidding requirements.
3. Fill out the form with your bid:
Note: Bids must be held firm for a minimum of 90 days.
4. Include an explanation of any and all warranties for the various peices of
equipment and installation of the alarm systems, installation and monitoring as
applicable.
5. Sign and date the form - the form must be signed by an authorized representative of
bidder.
Note: This is a requirement and may be grounds for rejection of the bid.
6. Send the bid via mail, email, fax, or deliver in person.
7. Bids will not be accepted after the closing date and time.

Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The Awarded Bidder shall follow all security measures, at all times during the
contract.
