| Opportunity Summary |
The Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is the state agency
that implements minimum standards established by the Board on Public Safety Standards and
Training for recruitment and training of Oregon's city, county and state police;
corrections officers; parole and probation officers; fire service personnel; emergency
telecommunicators, private security providers; and private investigators.
DPSST conducts public safety training throughout Oregon and at a central academy in Salem;
certifies qualified officers at various levels from basic through executive level;
certifies qualified instructors; and inspects and accredits training programs throughout
the state based on standards established by the Board on Public Safety Standards and
Training.
DPSST is committed to providing the highest level of instruction to officers seeking
professional advancement in their skills.
At this time, the Agency is seeking a contractor to provide a 6-day All Hazard Incident
Management Team (AHIMT) class. This class must meet United States Department of Homeland
Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), United States Fire
Administration (USFA) standards for course delivery and instructor qualifications.
The contract will be for one (1) class.
