This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Firm fixed pricing is requested. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25 effective 22 April 2008.
This posting is to inform potential providers that Dover Air Force Base, Delaware has a
requirement for the following item:
0001. One (1) Each Air Driven Pump. DEUTSCH mfg# DLT02MAPP1000 or equal.
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
- Size: 16" x 7.4" x 6.5"; - weight: 18.7 lbs
- Performance: Develops 10,000 psig hydraulic pressure; pump unit requires an input of compressed air at 70-125 psig to operate; not electrically powered
- Types of Hydraulic fluid used in the air pump; Petroleum base (MIL-H-5606), SILICON base compatible with Neoprene. light viscosity fluids are suggested. Heavier viscosities ( up to 300 ssu @ 100 Farenheight) are also suitable.
- End use; to operate the unit by connecting compressed air supply hose to the air input on the pump unit. Connect the end of the hydrualic hose to the fluid output on the pump unit. Connect the other end of the hydraulic hose to the swage tooling. At 10,000 psig, the pump will stop cycling. Pressure level will hold as long as the control switch is kept closed.
- This purchase requirement is to replace an old worn out unit. The air pump unit shall provide the required pressure to the swaging head unit to squeeze a Deutsch tube fitting around the cut off end of tubing.
