Description
**THIS SYNOPSIS IS BEING AMENDED TO REMOVE THE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE AND CHANGE IT TO A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. THE APPROXIMATE RELEASE DATE IS ALSO BEING CHANGED TO ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 7, 2008.** The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Pink Bollworm Rearing Facility (PBWRF) has a requirement for Agar Powdered USP, NF to support the Pink Bollworm Rearing Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. A firm fixed-price supply contract for a one time purchase is anticipated for the purchase of the Agar. The effective period of the contract shall be February 22, 2008, or date of award, whichever is later.
The solicitation, AG-6395-S-08-0022, will be released on or about
January 17, 2008 and will be a 100% small business set-aside, therefore, all responsible small businesses may submit an offer. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER?S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. The NAICS code is 325414 with a size standard of 500 employees. Quotes shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the request for quote. A one (1) pound bid sample shall be delivered to Phoenix, Arizona by the date and time listed in the solicitation. All quotes shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the envelope.
