The City of Santa Fe, New Mexico, is soliciting proposals to conduct an audit of two of our non-profit partners. The City contracts with these non-profits to provide services to the residents of Santa Fe that the City cannot provide internally. These same non-profits receive Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the City as well. The sevices provided by the non-profits are related to housing.

Our non-profit partners are required to conduct an internal Financial Audit every year. While these audits check for compliance with federal funding guidelines, the CDBG program is not the highest funded federal program and therefore does not receive as thorough review as the highest funded program. These annual audits also do not look in depth at the funding requirements of the contacts with the City.
