Synopsis:

The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain Advanced Occupational Education Services. The contractor shall make available, on a non-discriminatory basis, advanced occupational education services consistent with the requirements of the solicitation, the rules and procedures of the Federal Correctional Institution, and all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations in effect during the term of this contract. The manner and method in performing the tasks outlined in the statement of work are the sole responsibility and within the sole discretion of the contractor provided that the contractor shall perform in accordance with accepted professional standards and methods and the guidelines referenced above. Contractor shall provide post secondary certificates in the fields of Supervisory Management. Each certificate program consists of 10 credits per year. Class hours will be in accordance with the following: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, excluding Federal holidays. Each class must be a minimum of 1 hour in length not to exceed 2 hours in length. Classes may also be held during daytime hours and must be approved by the Supervisor of Education. The period of performance shall be from the date of award through September 30, 2009. Award is anticipated to be October 1, 2008 based on the availabliity of funds. The solicitation will be available on or after July 29, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible formonitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-based and community-based organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Solicitation #41502-0002-9 (AOE services) at the Federal Correctional Institution Waseca Minnesota is hereby cancelled for FY2009.
