Synopsis:

The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment, and material. Contractor furnished parts shall be either manufacturers original equipment or from an approved, qualified and/or engineering tested vendor. No su rplus parts shall be used or applied.

The proposed contractual action will be a firm fixed priced, five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Maintenance and Overhaul type contract, with a minimum quantity of 100 each and the maximum quantity of 1680 each. The maximum quantity includes an estimated 20% for F oreign Military Sales. The Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-1680-356 has been determined to be adequate for this requirement. This item has been determined to a Critical Safety Item and in accordance with DFARs 209.270-3; the government can o nly enter into a contract with a contractor that are approved by AMCOMs head of the design control activity. The following is a list of the contractors that have been approved by AMCOM to perform Maintenance & Overhaul on this item: Bell Helicopter Tex tron Inc., (Cage 97499), 60 Hurst Blvd, Hurst, Texas 76053-8030; Sargent Controls and Aerospace, (Cage 78062), 5675 W. Burlingame Rd, Tucson, AZ. 85743-9453; Aviation Repair Technical Inc. (Cage 1VJK5), 12 technology Dr. Ste 10, East Setauket, NY. 11733-4 049; Logistical Support LLC, (Cage 1HFE7), 19734 Dearborn St., Chatsworth, CA. 91311-6509 and HR Textron, Inc., Cage (81873), 25200 Rye Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA. 91355-1204. However, based on FAR 19.502-2 this action will be set aside for small busi ness when there is a reasonable expectation that offers will be obtained from at least two responsible small business concerns. Logistical Support LLC, (Cage 1HFE7) and Aviation Repair Technical Inc., (Cage 1VJK5) are both small businesses. Therefore, th is action will be a set aside to these two approved small businesses. A Product Verification Audit will be required. Firms that recognize and perform maintenance and repair on the required item described above are encouraged to seek source approval in or der to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All approved sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. No telepho ne requests for solicitation will be accepted. Request for solicitation will be by fax or mail.
