Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. We have a requirement for a sand elevator to be used to assist in blowing sand test of Army material. The sand elevator shall have a carbon steel frame, with forklift channels for the purpose of moving the sand elevator. It shall be powered by a variable frequency drive, minimum 5 hp, 208, 3 phase, 20:1 constant torque motor, or equivalent, with safety switch disconnect, and includes all controls necessary to operate system. The sand elevator shall be capable of elevating sand with a density of 120 lb/ft3, at a maximum flow rate of 3 tons/hour and minimum flow rate of 300lbs/hour. It shall have discharge height not to exceed 15 feet above ground level. It must be able hold a minimum of 1,000lbs of sand at a bulk density of 120/lbs/ft and be powder coated as to resist corrosion and rust from the elements. The hopper shall not exceed a total height of 40 from the ground in order to gain easy accessibility. A carbon steel double helix removable, for wear replacement, screw shall be included, as well as, a 5:1 in-line speed reducer, or equivalent, is required to move the sand. The applicable NAICS code is 333922 with at size standard of 500 employees. Payment will be made by DFAS; therefore, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov/), as well as, Wide Area Work Flow (https://wawf.eb.mil/). Award shall be made to the technically acceptable, low price proposal. You shall submit commercially available literature on your unit that demonstrates that all of the above capabilities are met.
