The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single source contract in accordance with FAA AMS 3.2.2.4 to Aerospace Engineering and Associates, Inc. of Lanham, MD.
It has been determined that it is in the best interest of the government to acquire these services from AEA on a single source contract basis for the following reasons:
There is currently a requirement to provide enhancements for certain AwSim modules. These enhancements will customize and extend the AwSim modules to provide these FAA organizations with an improved capability to meet organizational goals responding to challenging NAS operational problems associated with NextGen improvements to the NAS. AwSim is a copyright of Aerospace Engineering and Associates, Inc. of Lanham, MD. This company is the trademark holder and developer of the software and is the only source available.
A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above service, the FAA will evaluate this accordingly.
