Synopsis:

SOLE SOURCE NOTICE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This sole source is intended to be awarded to the Sierra Nevada Corporation. Interested concerns may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this procurement, based upon any responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sole source is based upon the Tactical Video Down Link (TCD-TAC-VTX40) being manufactured by the Sierra Nevada Corporation, the only provider for this specific model of equipment. Sole source is also based upon the authority FAR 6.302-1(2)( C )(ii) which allows for sole source purchase if it is considered a follow-on contract for the continued development of a system when the award would result in duplication of cost. The proposed procurement is for one (1) each, TCD-CA-VTRX-12 M Cable; Tactilink VRX Los Tactical Video Receiver; TCD-AN-OMNI-CP-MAG Antenna; Tactilink-TLNA with Bias Tee; SNC-TAC-SVDS Tactical Video Decoder; and SNC-TAC-SVES Tactical Video Encoder. Any responses/proposals to this notice must be received no later than close of business, 5:00 P.M., 20 June 2008, Eastern Standard Time.
