This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ).This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. NAICS Code for this requirement is 423450.The U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with TYMPANY. IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Point of Contact (POC). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration. [Note: Lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration will make a Contractor ineligible for award] Registration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement.
